Dear Lord,
Wow - you are really testing me today huh? LOL I recently made a comment to my daughter as she was discussing with me last week about some little girl bullies at her school. I said, "Love Your Neighbor". Well... today my neighbor banged on my back door (I'm home sick). My husband was home for lunch (Thank You, Lord!). He went out there and got cussed out. Basically, the survey we had done on our property (3 years ago) proved that we had a little more property than our neighbor thought. It went over his fence line about a foot. BUT, we have no plans on destroying his fence or telling him to move or anything and we have no plans on building anything by the fence. We told him this a few years ago.
Today, something about it set him off and he threatened to sue us, the surveying company, and also threatened to destroy the "pins" that are in the ground on our property line with his tractor. We did call the police just to get more information as to what we should do. Basically, since this is a cival suit, there is nothing we can do. Even if this man destroys those pins in the ground and potentially tries destroying our property, we have to SEE him doing it for us to have a case.
Well, I certainly don't want to camp outside to SEE him potentially destroy anything. However, "love your neighbor" is replaying over and over in my mind. Are you talking to me Lord? In fact, I'm not even mad at my neighbor at all. I do think he is having a bad day and possibly the wind and rain did something to his mind (temporarily, I hope). But I pray to you Lord that you comfort our neighbor, let him know that he is loved, and somehow reassure him that we have no ill intentions toward him.
During our temporary windstorm today, a branch (not too big) flew through the air and "stabbed" the side of our house causing a hole. It didn't go all the way through our wall though. I heard it earlier and was hoping a tree wasn't about to fall on my house or myself. That was also another highlight today. lol
I feel better, my throat is very sore. Just not as achey as I was yesterday afternoon/night. Lord I pray that you take this sickness out of my body. Heal me, Lord. I also thank you that the confrontation between my husband and our neighbor was not any worse. And I thank you that our house did not suffer extensive damage.
No matter what happens in life Lord, I will always love you. I know with each trial and error, is a test of our faith. Well, my faith will always be there for you. You are my Love!
I pray for you to protect me, my hubby and daughter from any harm, danger, evil or sickness that may come our way. And I thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me and my family. Lord also please heal a co-worker of mine who's back has been hurting her lately. You know I also have two more co-workers, one who does not believe in Jesus and the other who is not saved. I pray that you be with them and comfort them, bless them, and show yourself to them. Also, I know you were talking to me recently about my little brother and how he may be diverting back to becoming a non-believer. I pray that you give me words of wisdom to talk to him without seeming pushy or judgmental. And I pray for you to forgive my sins, all my sins that I have committed against you.
Thank you again, for all that you do... my love,
Amen

Brrr!
Dear Lord,
First of all, Thank you for all that you do and all that you have Blessed me with. Thank you because I'm alive!
I'm pretty tired this morning and I feel a sore throat coming on. Is it because I left the heat off accidentally and woke up to 62 degrees? Brrr! Lord I pray that you heal any sickness that is festering in my body.
So my husband was especially nice to me when we went to bed. Really?! Why would he think he could actually get "some" after all the attitude he gave me yesterday afternoon? It worked! :( I'm such a sucker! LOL And of course, I'm forgiving. :) I love my husband dearly, even though it's been eight years (in just a few days) - it feels like I have been with him my entire life. I thank you for him.
I didn't read the Bible last night. I had every intention. I ended up watching a show on TV called Heavy. So inspirational! Please Lord, help me be like these people that can lose 100lbs in 6 months! Well, I don't need to lose 100lbs... but another 20lbs would suffice. :) I want to get back into working out and making it a part of my life.
So Lord, this morning I want to thank you again for all that you do. Thank you for my family, friends, co-workers, job, home and car. Thank you for everything! I love you! Lord, please forgive me where I have failed you in every way. Please protect me, my husband and daughter from any harm, danger, evil, or sickness that comes in our way and path. Help me with the willpower, and motivation I need to lose weight and make productivity today. < I know, odd I just put that in the same sentence. I also pray for my husband and daughter to have a beautiful and blessed day today. Lord, I pray all of this as long as it is Your Will.
Your Holy Name,
Amen

Mismanagement
Dear Lord,
So I didn't meet my production goals today at work. Why? I was on task until management asked my team to back up customer service by answering phone calls. This dropped my performance in half. So I decided to get off work an hour early. By doing so, my performance numbers went up 20%. Basically, I felt like I was taking a gamble. If I worked my typical eight hours, I'm at 50% performance for the day. Management may/may not decide to throw out those numbers. What if they didn't? Then I'd rather be at 70% for the day. It helps with my two week average and my two week average (if it's not 100% or better) will determine my bonus and whether I qualify to go home to work. The downfall? It looks like I am not a team-player and willing to help out when needed.
I'm stuck Lord because I love my job but I am beginning to hate where I work. The rules seem to change daily. It's making it difficult for me to have respect for a place that lays people off one minute and scrambles to take people off of their current jobs to help out where they laid everyone off. Mismanagement? Yes. And I paid for that with overtime. Hey, I'm not complaining about the money - but the principle behind it is wrong.
I can go on and on about all the wrong things in the company I work for. Not that I'm perfect; but there are a lot of unfair practices going on. And believe me, this company is huge! Why not say anything? Well, even though there is an anti-retaliation policy, people have gotten black-balled and the retaliation goes on anyway. What management does is they will go and find anything on the person they don't want at the company... whether it be violating the dress code, sending too many chain letter emails, etc. And once they find what they're looking for; they get rid of that person. I assure you, you can find something wrong with EVERY employee at that company. It's almost like asking people not to sin. People don't want to sin, but do it anyway. So if you look hard enough, you can fire almost anyone. Including me.
Of course, I don't intentionally break any rules (except use the company instant messaging for non-business related discussions). Seems pretty minor - but believe me, if they wanted to get rid of me, they could use that.
On a positive note, I remained very positive today and had a good day! I thank you for that! I even sent my husband an instant message (non business related, of course!) telling him that even though he didn't like the fact that I was reading a book called, "Managing God's Money", we can't go and seek the message we want to hear; in fact, the message will seek us. That was all I told him. Of course, he had to get in the last word that we make too much money and so therefore the 10% tithing amount will eat us alive and we won't have enough money for bills, etc, etc. I didn't respond after that because I told him that was all I was going to say (shhh, for now *wink wink*) :) Ha Ha!
I do pray that you help me to be a voice for my husband to hear when it comes to using money for your Will. But I also pray that he hears other voices and not just mine. Yours, perhaps? Hearing other people instead of just his wife may help open his ears and the information may finally penetrate his mind. I don't want to tithe to receive. But I want to do my part. Of course I want things... but I don't want to be a selfish person. My husband needs to be reassured that we will make it in life, even if we tithe 10%. I just need to learn how to prove it. I have faith, apparently my husband does not.
Wow, so my husband just came home and I want to have a "family discussion" about the cable and he assumes I want to add this and that; but I'm just asking questions to gain more knowledge and he has an attitude with me and says, "End of discussion". Lord, I know you didn't make man to be that arrogant and insensitive. Anyhow, that brings me back into this computer room to finish talking to you in silence.
Lord, I pray for peace tonight in my family's hearts. I pray for wisdom, and a listening ear. Lord, please protect us tonight in all of our endeavors and put your arms around us when we need you (which is all the time).
Forgive me where I have failed you, Lord and I thank you for all you have blessed me with.
I love you,
Amen

Happy Monday!
Lord,
Today I'm feeling really good! Despite the fact that I stepped on the scale this morning and it showed an 11lb weight gain (from my lowest weight). Wow!
Please help me stay focused. I'm going to start counting calories again on fatsecret.com. Provide me with the willpower that I need to not be addicted to food and motivation to get off my butt and start moving.
Other than that, I thank you for all that you do. Please protect me, my husband and daughter from any harm, danger, evil or sickness that may come our way. Forgive me where I have failed you in any way.
I love you Lord. You are my Everything! You are my strength when I am weak. Thank you for all you have blessed me with.
In his name,
Amen

Ugh - This is what I despise...
Ok really? 3 blog/prayers in one day? Am I becoming a fanatic? Well, the truth is, if I don't write it - I will forget. Must be the ADD I was never diagnosed with.
Anyhow, I literally hate asking things from you God. I do. It makes me feel selfish. However, you did say, Ask and you shall Receive - if it's your will.
I have a minor list... *sheepish grin*:
1. I have lost 34 lbs and gained back 10. Please help me get the motivation to start working out again.
2. Please take my food addiction away!
3. Please heal my legs of my eczema (it's pretty severe). The itching... oh the itching... let's just say you wouldn't want this.
4. Please let me be able to work from home soon, REAL SOON!
OK, I can't go on. Four things is enough! I will definitely work on being a better Christian for you as well!
P.S. I love you! Amen
